History of Our Company

Since 1892, the Fair Acres Stock Farm has been operating successfully in the United States. Over the years the farm has grown to its present size and status. The enterprises include crops, beef cattle and related services.

The crop enterprise includes corn, soybeans, wheat, oats, and alfalfa. Through its history, the company has been always a leader in the implementation of new innovative ideas, some of which has been published in many trade journals or recognized through national and international yield contests. The direct operation of these crop farming concerns in the United States and Internationally, has provided its team with experience in the latest agricultural technologies including in crop production: climate-smart agricultural (CSA) techniques, minimum and no-tillage conservation soil programs, GPS precision farming practices (PA), online agriculture intelligence system, effective fertilizer regimes, proper seed genetic selection, integrated pest management (IPM), precision irrigation systems, etc.

The cattle enterprise includes registered purebred Angus, Red Angus, Shorthorn and Hereford. The management has always embraced the most advanced technologies in the industry and converted these concepts to reality in its operations. This serves as the base of the export compliant production and international sales of the elite Angus embryos. These genetics are documented using the best of cutting-edge technology, with genomic testing at a very integral part of these credentials. As the Angus embryos are selected for specific markets and matching unique needs, genomic sequencing mapping clearly serves as an important factor in the selection process for profitability. The company’s market for bovine genetics has expanded across much of United States and into Canada, as well globally into Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico, Australia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Denmark, China, South Arica, Uganda, etc.

Over the years, the company has produced extraordinary bulls and highly productive females. The genetics today, are part of the rich heritage of Gold Trophy, Pathfinder and Elite Status Dams, to All American Bulls and Females, to Grand Champions in several countries that were all bred at the farm. One of the current donor cows, Adelle 8958, has produced seven bulls for major Artificial Insemination Bull Centers in the United States. One of these bulls was the top Angus semen seller and lead registrations of progeny for all of USA for two years in a row. Apart from the activities in Minnesota, the company operates several affiliations in the United States, Argentina, and Uruguay.
